The Origin of This Work
In 2022, I began meeting women from around the globe. Many of these women were over 50, but the vast majority were over 60; and all of them were visionaries in motion.
These women spoke of new ideas, aspirations for the next chapter in their lives, and a maturity born of lived experience.
I would soon discover that we had much in common. We were all highly educated, vibrant, and uniquely skilled. And we were all facing the same challenge: we all understood our individual relevance and value, but all lacked visibility.
I soon understood that I was the connective tissue among them, and the question became: "How do I connect them all?" I started with what was available to me: an email, an invitation, and an idea.
While there was no doubt that we were forming a mastermind alliance for women entrepreneurs, there was neither a name for this group nor a real platform. Just a whisper of a vision and a single acronym: S.E.E.N., which stood for the very thing we all craved: to be seen, truly seen.
The name Spirited Entrepreneurs Empowerment Network would come later, but, just like that, the very first program of Soulful Sojourners was born.
In 2025, I changed the program's name to Women Nexus™ to reflect the evolution of this work and my growing understanding of what it means to be an entrepreneur and a connector.
The name marks a shift from roles and labels toward a shared recognition that each woman is a business of one, a point of convergence where agency, experience, and intention meet. It also marks a new direction for this community of women entrepreneurs who seek clarity and direction.
Women Nexus™ names the space where individual authorship and collective presence come together to shape impact across work, leadership, and legacy.
